Bob Mantell is the Director of the TS Institute and has served in his role since the 2009. Bob is responsible for the oversight of Institute activities and provides direction for the organization’s programming initiatives. Prior to joining the TS Institute Bob worked in Procurement roles for three different Fortune 500 companies. Bob is certified by the Institute for Supply Management as a Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) and an Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.) and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Creighton University. In addition to his role with the TS Institute, Bob serves as the head baseball coach at Treynor High School and has been in this capacity since 2006. Bob lives in Treynor with his wife Kristin and their three children, Nolan, Grant and Quinn.
Kyle Osborne is the Program & Community Relations Manager at TS Institute and joined the team in September 2012. Kyle spends most of his time working with southwest Iowa schools to assists them in meeting 21st Century financial literacy standards. He is a financial literacy content expert and works closely with area teachers and administrators to provide free resources (curriculum, simulators, after school programming) and consulting services for grades K-12. In addition to working with schools, Kyle also works with area non-profit organizations to deliver financial education. Kyle loves meeting new people and really enjoys helping school districts meet the 21st Century standards in their unique way. Prior to joining the TS Institute staff Kyle was a Youth Pastor in Madison, South Dakota for six years. Kyle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education: Youth Ministry as well as Business Administration: Finance. Kyle lives in Council Bluffs with his wife Michelle and their four children, Ella, Judah, Lilly & Lincoln.
Patricia Fleming is the Financial Literacy Banking Coordinator at TS Institute and joined the team in October 2014. Patty is responsible for the overall office management activities within the TS Institute’s Financial Literacy Program. She directly assists the Director of the Financial Literacy Program with coordination of literacy program initiatives. Patty supervises the in-school banks, oversees operations, and assist students with deposits. Patty holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa. She lives in Council Bluffs with her husband Glen and their four children, Bryan, Claire, Tom and Anna.
Joy Sparks is the Financial Literacy Coordinator at TS Institute, working in northwest North Dakota. She started in her role in September 2016. Joy is committed to bringing financial literacy tools to North Dakota students and teachers. Joy worked in the Tioga, ND school system before joining TS Institute. She also had a career in pharmaceutical sales before her daughter Kiya was born. Joy, Kiya and Owen, her husband, live in Tioga.
Connie Unruh, CPA is the Financial Literacy Coordinator at TS Institute working in Central Illinois. She started in her role in November, 2017. Connie is committed to bringing financial literacy tools to Central Illinois students, teachers and non-profits. Connie worked as a financial advisor for a Christian not-for-profit before joining TS Institute. In that role she encountered numerous families who were facing bleak financial futures due to lack of financial knowledge. She began hosting workshops and providing financial coaching to help these families see a brighter future. Before this, Connie worked as an accountant for several non-profits and a public accounting firm. Connie received her Bachelors of Science degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois. Connie, her husband and three children live in Bloomington, IL and spend most of their time at their kids’ sporting events.
